Communities affected by conflicts face long-lasting physical, emotional, and social consequences. Deep divisions, trauma, and a lack of effective conflict resolution mechanisms hinder social cohesion and impede the path toward reconciliation and healing.
YEI’s Conflict Resolution & Rehabilitation (CRR) program is dedicated to fostering peace, healing, and reconciliation in communities affected by conflicts in Liberia and the United States. This program recognizes the need to address the deep-rooted scars caused by disputes and create an environment conducive to sustainable peace.
The program targets individuals and communities impacted by conflicts, including survivors, ex-combatants, displaced persons, and marginalized groups. It also extends its reach to community leaders, local authorities, and stakeholders involved in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
The primary objective of the Conflict Resolution & Rehabilitation program is to promote peaceful coexistence, facilitate healing, and restore social harmony. YEI strives to provide psychological support, mediation services, and peacebuilding training to individuals and communities affected by conflicts.
We believe by fostering dialogue, understanding, and cooperation, the program will help to transform conflict-ridden communities into resilient and inclusive societies where individuals can rebuild their lives and collectively work towards sustainable peace.
