Many individuals, especially in disadvantaged communities, lack access to recreational opportunities and face limited options for engaging in positive leisure activities. This can lead to boredom, unhealthy habits, and a lack of outlets for creativity and self-expression.

YEI’s Recreation Program is designed to promote the well-being and holistic development of individuals in Liberia and the United States. This program recognizes the importance of leisure, recreation, and healthy activities in enhancing physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

The Recreation Program targets individuals of all ages, including children, youth, and adults, who are in need of recreational outlets and opportunities. This includes individuals living in low-income communities, underserved populations, and those with limited access to recreational facilities and resources.

The primary objective of the Recreation Program is to provide individuals with a range of recreational activities that promote physical fitness, social interaction, and personal growth.

YEI aims to create safe and inclusive spaces where participants can engage in sports, arts, cultural activities, and other forms of recreation. By fostering a sense of belonging, promoting healthy lifestyles, and encouraging positive relationships, the program aims to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life of participants.
