A dream rooted in my Christian belief is the underlying reason for the birth of the Youth Empowerment Initiatives.
During my years at the seminary, between the civil conflicts that engulfed and consumed my country, Liberia, it became obvious to me that our society had a huge problem on hand that would last for years and erode the very fabric of love, hope, belief, and good societal norms.
Today, our society is challenged, and we are fast losing our young people to substance abuse, peer pressure, violence, hopelessness, and poverty.
I believed then, and still believe today that addressing the impact of the conflict on children, youth and young adults will require forming a series of interventions that are foundationed on the Word of God. For in the Word of God, we find hope, love, genuine belief; and transform people to live according to God’s Word, which restores good and acceptable societal norms.
I want to call on you to join us as we strive to accomplish this and restore HOPE and LOVE in and among our children, youth, and young people, especially those living in HOPELESS situations.
Let’s plant today’s seed for tomorrow’s harvest.
