YEI Launches Reaching Children for Christ Outreach
Through our Ministry to Children Program, the Reaching Children for Christ Outreach was launched at the Hub of Hope in Grouzohn Community, Fandell in Monrovia, Liberia. The launch brought together about 120 kids from two communities – Congo Town and Fandell Community. There were more than eighteen (18) volunteers who signed up to work with YEI in ensuring that this outreach is carried out. But we initially started with six (6) volunteers who will work with these kids for the next three (3) months. These volunteers will lead the kids in Bible Studies once a week; in indoor and outdoor recreation, and provide snacks during these activities. During the launch, we provided Children Bible Story Books for the use of the program.
Aim: The primary aim of the program is to reach out to children with the Word of God. We believe that when children are taught the Word of God, they grow up to become good citizens and help bring others to Christ. YEI is initiating this outreach to children in Liberia to evangelize, provide spiritual (Christian) growth, hope, and to involve children in lifelong Bible Studies and recreational activities.
Jesus commanded in Scriptures – Matthew 19:14 – “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
